The C-U community really showed out for Bike Month 2023! We had a high number of participants for Bike to Work Day on Thursday, September 14 and Light the Night on Tuesday, September 19, as well as our other guided rides and events. 16 welcome stations were located across Champaign County for Bike to Work Day, and bike commuters were greeted with snacks, drinks, and important cycling information.
Bike at Illinois and MTD served as Signature Level sponsors of Bike Month 2023. Each event helped to promote cycling in the community, making Champaign County safer, greener, and more active. Every day is Bike Day in Champaign County!

C-U Bike to Work Day 2022 was held on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. 16 welcome stations were located across Champaign County and bike commuters were greeted with snacks, drinks, and important cycling information.

After a year off, the Champaign County Bike Month Planning Team was excited to announce that Champaign County Bike to Work Day is back!
There were a total of 16 welcome stations, in Champaign, Urbana, on the U of I campus, Savoy, Mahomet, and Rantoul! We thank everyone for volunteering and participating.

C-u Bike to work day 2019 recap
Thank you to all those who participated in Bike to Work Day on May 3, 2019. The event was a success with nearly 500 participants deciding to bike to work or class all over the Champaign-Urbana area. Congratulations, you challenged yourself to brace the weather while also recognizing bicycling as a form of fun and reliable transportation. We hope that in participating in Bike to Work Day you will want to bike to work more often.
